In order to continuouslyimprove the professional level of cohort work, strengthen the practical abilityof clinical follow-up work of offspring, and better carry out cohortconstruction and research work, the Bayley Ⅲ specialtraining and assessment meeting was held at Nanjing Medical University Schoolof Public Health on October 17-18. More than 40 teachers and postgraduates haveparticipated in the training.

 In the training session, HongLv, Shiyao Tao, and Lei Huang introduced the general overview of the project of"Chinese population assisted reproduction population and offspring cohortbased on applied basic research" , explained the main work content andwork of cohort investigators and telephone follow-up Methods, training andrelated precautions for offspring follow-up positions. Subsequently, Xiaoyu Liubrought an introduction to the birth cohort member management system,maintenance of the outcome and an explanation of common problems in qualitycontrol.

Then, KunZhou led the participants to visit the biobank and carry out a standardizedlive demonstration of sample storage and retrieval.

Then theparticipants ushered in the Bayley Ⅲ scale practical evaluation session. Thissession was hosted by Bo Xu, and Shanshan Geng and Ye Ding were responsible forthe assessment and answering questions. Two volunteer children (one year oldand three year old) were invited. Participants conducted developmentevaluations on the two children respectively according to the operatingspecifications of the Bayley scale.

Through this training,the trainees learned about Bayley-Ⅲ's evaluation principles, scoring methodsand interpretation, and also exchanged work experience with each other. In alively and rigorous atmosphere, this training event came to a successfulconclusion.
