Data Sharing Policy of Jiangsu Birth Cohort
Jiangsu Birth Cohort(JBC)is an important medical research project in China, a large number of research data will be produced. Data sharing is the most effective way to maximize the use of these data , and every community that has the ability to access these data.
The use of JBC data should obey the relevant laws and regulations of People's Republic of China and general principles of data sharing.
Eligible researchers need to Following basic principles:
1) Ensure that the personal information of the participants in the queue is not disclosed.
2) Ensure the safety of cohort data and take the necessary management measures.
3) Ensure that data can be distributed to eligible applicants or research groups in a timely manner.
4) Ensure that the project has the right to firstly publish the data in the cohort.
5) Ensure that cohort data are used for medical research that is dedicated to disease prevention and health promotion, not for commercial purposes.
How to access to data?
Eligible researchers must submit an application to the Nanjing Medical University Birth Cohort Center via e-mail (Address: cnbc@njmu.edu.cn). All research projects must be approved in advance by the Committee of Ethics. Data was provided only for medical research, not for commercial purposes.
The Ethics Committee, Academic Committee, Management Committee and Nanjing Medical University Birth Cohort Center will be jointly responsible for data sharing approval. Any approved project will be considered as a sub-project of JBC. The PI of the research project must sign an agreement with the Nanjing Medical University Birth Cohort Center for clarification of the rights and obligations.
