On August 19, 2019, Vice President Zhibin Hu led thesupervision team to West China Second Hospital of Sichuan University to conducton-site supervision and exchanges on the operation of the birth cohort.Professor Shangwei Li, the project manager, Dezhi Mu, executive vice presidentof West China Second Hospital and several staff attended the meeting.

First of all,Professor Shangwei Li reported the progress of the project and problemsencountered in actual work. President Hu and the experts of the supervisionteam affirmed the progress of the project, put forward suggestions forsolutions to related issues, and conducted in-depth discussions and exchangeswith the project skeleton crew on the inclusion of assisted reproductionfamilies and the enhancement of offspring follow-up work.

The supervision effectively sorted out the research progressand existing problems of West China Second Hospital of Sichuan University,clarified the key tasks in the future operation, and proposed specific measuresfor follow-up work.
